Former Big Brother Mzansi contestant Lerato Modise, the entrepreneur and philanthropist who won the hearts of many during her stint on the show, is continuing her mission to uplift young minds through her Remlee Foundation.
This week, she partnered with Naledi Chamane of Starcham's Faith Foundation to donate essential items to schoolchildren in need.
“The initiative, which aims to provide support and restore dignity to pupils from underprivileged backgrounds, saw the foundation donating school shoes to Manzini Primary School in the Sunrise area,” Lerato said.
“This simple yet impactful gesture ensures that young pupils can walk confidently into their classrooms, ready to focus on education without the burden of torn or ill-fitting footwear.”
At Vosloorus Comprehensive School, the foundation distributed “Divinity Packs” containing essential hygiene products such as sanitary pads, face cloths, toothbrushes, roll-on deodorant, and body lotion.
These packs are more than just supplies, they are tools of empowerment, allowing pupils — especially young girls — to attend school with confidence and dignity, Lerato said.
Her passion for igniting creativity and encouraging young minds to think beyond their circumstances is evident in every aspect of her work.
Fondly known as “Miss Robot” by the children she works with, Lerato has always been driven to make a positive impact in her community.
“I want to inspire and empower young minds. We all have the power to make a positive impact in the lives of others whether big or small.”
