Gogo Maweni has given fans a glimpse into her preparations for motherhood with husband Sabelo Mgube.

The popular sangoma and reality TV star has three children — her firstborn son from her previous relationship with an unidentified American man, her second son with actor Sthembiso Khoza and another with former soccer star Siyabonga Zulu.

After it was recently revealed that she is expecting twins, the sangoma has shared an update capturing a precious moment during her recent antenatal care visit, playing the recorded sound of both babies in her womb.

Maweni, real name Makhotso Lee-Anne Mofokeng, played the heartbeats of the babies on the post.

“The best Valentine's gift ever, Sabelo,” she wrote.

Previously speaking to TshisaLIVE, Maweni said she and her husband had been trying to expand their family through in vitro fertilisation (IVF).

According to Mayo Clinic, IVF is a complex series of procedures used to help with fertility or prevent genetic problems and assist with the conception of a child.

Maweni revealed she previously experienced miscarriages and was then pregnant again.

“We've been trying and haven't been getting it right.

“It's been a lot of tries. We had two embryos but lost one. So now we have this one growing and I just want to keep it to myself with no noise and no drama. I want the baby to grow.”
