Gogo Maweni, real name Makhotso Lee-Anne Mofokeng, is set to face trial on March 12.

The popular sangoma and reality TV star, who is facing a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm for an alleged incident in 2019, appeared at the Protea magistrate's court in Soweto, where her bail was extended.

Maweni's trial is highly anticipated, and many are eager to see how the case unfolds as this is not her first brush with the law.

The sangoma, who is expecting twins, was previously convicted of theft and fraud charges which saw her do community service for three months.

She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol 15 years ago.
