Media personality and actress Itumeleng Bokaba has withdrawn her rape case against controversial artist manager Nota Baloyi.

Itu took to Instagram to share the news, saying her decision was due to a career opportunity that requires her full focus and dedication.

"I have recently been presented with an amazing career opportunity, one I never saw coming but I know is truly aligned with my purpose," she wrote in an official statement.

"This project requires my full focus and dedication, and for me to remain in a positive headspace so I can give it my best.

"For this reason I  have decided to withdraw my case to focus fully on this exciting new chapter.

"However, this does not mean the case has been dismissed or that my experience is invalid. I remain firm in my truth and will revisit the case at a later stage when I am in a better position to do so."

"Right now, I welcome everyone to join me in this new season of my life. I am excited, grateful and ready to step into the work God has placed in front of me.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey, I appreciate you more than words can express. The best is yet to come."
