Afrosoul singer Naima Kay is on a mission to uplift upcoming singers.

The songstress, whose real name is Lungile Khumalo, is hosting a three-day event, Naima Kay Homecoming All White, from April 25 to 27 at St Michael's Beach on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast.

The event will kick off with a pre-party on April 25. On April 26 there's an All White Picnic at St Michael’s Beach and on April 27 there's the Army Green Theme at Kwa Xolo Caves with music and activities and a bring and braai.

Zanda Zakuza, DJ Sox, Musa (Idols), Afro Soul, Volo Da Saint, Nomakhosini, Thobekile and others are scheduled to perform.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, the Lelilanga hitmaker said she is looking to uplift upcoming musicians at a network session before the Naima Kay Homecoming All White event.

“I'm very passionate about upcoming artists and youth, specially in the place where I come from. The event marks my role in ploughing back to my community. We'll host a workshop at the civic centre in Port Shepstone, where I'll interact with upcoming artists.”
