Pastor Zondo says viral video showing him naked damaged his career

Motivational speaker Pastor Sthembiso Zondo says his explicit video dented his reputation and cost him money.

A decade ago, a video was leaked of Zondo with his genitals on full display. The naked pastor reportedly laid low after the video went viral on social media around the country.

In the video the pastor is seen walking up and down waving his hand around. He also touches himself casually. The legs of a woman in pink clothing are seen at the bottom of the shot. The pastor was completely naked.

Zondo revealed the aftermath of the ordeal on the Podcast Affirmation with Sizwe Blose, in which he reflected on the ordeal and how his reputation and dignity were compromised.

“I lost lucrative gigs where I was scheduled to motivate the masses and push sermons. You go around with dark cloud hanging over your head, where you don't know if your fans are mocking you or sympathising with you. I can easily say the video clip really damaged my image,” he said on the podcast.

He continued: “When you are good in something, no video or anyone can take it away from you. It was a learning curve and up to this day I don't know what drove that person to record me.”
