Social media users have applauded the cast and production crew of Mzansi Magic's Umkhokha: The Curse.

The weekday telenovela ended on February 28. It had a two-year run.

The star-studded cast graced TV screens on weekdays at 8.30pm. They included Nay Maps, Deli Malinga, Sibonile Ngubane, Hope Mbhele and Gcinile Nkosi.

Entertainment commentator Jabu MacDonald shared the news on X and was met with mixed reactions from viewers. “Mzansi Magic’s hit telenovela Umkhokha: The Curse will officially come to an end on February 28 after two years on our screens.”

“Thank you to the writers, the actors, the wardrobe and everybody who worked to give us this refreshing show,” a user posted.

“I love how #UmkhokhaTheCurse is closing off the show by acknowledging Ma'Mzobe's origins story, showing she didn't just wake up one day and become a villain. She was provoked. In the end, the real villain of this story [was] mguMthembu,” wrote another.

“Mzansi Magic robbed us. No, you need to have a U-turn on your decision to cancel this show. You gave us a thrilling ending,” another used posted.
