Holly Rey got real with her fans about the struggle of living with diabetes.

The singer, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 11, took to her timeline on Thursday to reveal her condition had taken a toll on her in February.

In the post, Holly shared images of her in a hospital bed with her adopted sister Mimi.

“February has been hard. I have no motivational quote or wholehearted insight into how to stay strong through struggles because the truth is it sucks and you don’t always feel strong or have the capacity to be strong when you feel like you have hit rock bottom,” she wrote.

“I’ve always been open and honest about my health journey and my relationship with type 1 diabetes, but for the past month I have been struggling to come to terms with a recent diagnosis and have been struggling to share anything.”

Holly thanked those who have sent get well wishes to her.

“I am OK and I am on a journey of healing. I will share and talk about it once I have fully come to terms with everything.”
