Actress Sthandwa Nzuza has a new reality TV show.

The 40-year-old is to host Molao O Reng, which will premiere on Thursday at 7pm on Moja Love. Sthandwa is known for her acting roles in Ehostela, Uzalo, Durban Gen and Umkhokha, among others.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Sthandwa says it has been a long journey for her in the entertainment industry.

“I did all this while I was a student at DUT studying drama and production. I have enjoyed every part of my journey. Molao O Reng is the first project I’m doing as a 'TV host'. I’ve only been a radio host and actress and I’m humbled and thankful to Moja Love for believing in my capabilities,” she said.

Molao O Reng aims to champion and challenge the law and provide legal access for all. It’s a multilingual show, which makes it more interesting. Sthandwa said she comes in with her isiZulu and the panel come in with their languages.

“I wouldn’t say challenges. I catch on environments easily — I’m used to cameras when acting. The difference with TV presenting is you need to look directly at the camera, while in acting it’s the opposite. I just took my radio presenting experience and put it on camera,” she said.

The Inanda-born actress said she's shooting another show and she can’t talk about it now due to confidentiality.

"Molao O Reng viewers can expect raw or real life experiences from different cases that will be revealed on the show every Thursday. We discuss issues I’m sure affect 99% of South Africans in every household, one way or the other. They will also get advice from the panel of lawyers or advocates I have on the show to give guidance in the cases.”
