Bongani Fassie is back after a decade-long hiatus, this time about in collaboration with Fifi Cooper on a song titled Jehovah.
Teaming up with Motswako’s First Lady, Fifi Cooper, the two veterans are set to shake the airwaves with their collaboration, a powerful and soul-stirring declaration of faith, resilience and purpose.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Bongani said the song came from a deep connection to the message.
“It’s about spreading positivity and love to the people, tapping into the energy that we all share as humans. When you have a song that speaks to the heart, everything else falls into place. The vibe just felt right, and it was an opportunity to work with people who shared that same passion for uplifting souls,” he said.
Fifi described her experience in the studio with Bongani as pure magic.
“The chemistry between us was natural, we were in sync with each other. It’s all about trusting each other’s talents and letting the music speak for itself. We worked hard but the whole process felt effortless — the song just flowed out of us,” she said.
The pair said to them, this collaboration is more than just making music; it’s a symbol of unity, growth and strength.
“It’s about showing that no matter where we come from or what we’ve been through, we can come together and create something powerful. Jehovah represents the strength of the human spirit, the journey of faith and the power of togetherness. It's a message that I hold dear to my heart.”
