Kharishma has paid back the money she owed the organisers of the Marula Festival after she was a no-show at the event.
The festival took place on March 1t at Impala Stadium in Phalaborwa.
Kharishma, real name Melita Mogale from Solomondale in Polokwane, told TshisaLIVE the festival organisers paid her a deposit before the event and settled the balance on the day of the event.
TshisaLIVE is in possession of the proof Kharishma paid money back to the organisers.
According to Kharishma, she was avoiding arguments and an exchange of words with the organisers. She said she didn't want bad blood.
“Everything was fine and together with my team we were looking forward to the performance. Unfortunately we couldn't go as we received the balance late on the day of the event. To avoid more confusion I had to pay them back their money”, she said.
“ I'm shocked they decided to use my picture for a gig in Musina on March 8. I never received a query about my rates or a call to book me for that event. I'm disappointed and feel betrayed because I was not alerted.”
Mphoza Mashabela from Limpopo Artists Movement said: “I can confirm we had an engagement with Kharishma's manager and the Marula service provider. The matter has been resolved peacefully. “
