WATCH | Singer Nick Soul launches his debut album 'Timeless'

Actor and singer Nick Soul's recent debut album launch attracted A-listers.

Nick, real name Nicholas Nkuna, released the 14-track album Timeless at Planet World in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The event provided a state-of-the-art listening and viewing experience, with the finest audio technology including Sonos speakers,  soundbars and luxury theatre set-ups.

The launch attracted A-listers such as Sonia Mbele, Stanley Khoza, Gugu Da DJ, Motlatsi Mafatshe, Yamkela Sigagay, Gabisile Tshabalala, Vele Manenje and Zamo Dlamini.

Tracks on the album include Gae ft Judith Sephuma, Umona ft Thembisile Ntaka and Energy ft Cici.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Nick said he was happy with the turnout for the launch. “I want any music fan to enjoy this album, just like the title says, Timeless, all the songs are are timeless. I've worked with the best in the music business. I'm overwhelmed by the attendance.

“I love amapiano but our South African music is disappearing slowly. I was inspired by Judith, Miriam Makeba and Letta Mbulu. As amapiano is rising, we do not have artists who care about music anymore, even in the radio space or online. In January I added a deluxe on the album; there's a song titled Lonely Room which I [would] love people to hear.”
