AB Crazy has made a return to the music scene in 2025 with his latest single Ghost featuring Nomfundo Yekani.

“The song Ghost is the type of sound AB Crazy is known for. My approach was not so different in terms of the sound. The only thing that changed is how the music is pushed now and presented to the masses. It’s doing well,” he told TshisaLIVE.

AB Crazy's music journey began behind the boards, crafting beats for some of South Africa's biggest acts, including Teargas, HHP, Fifi Cooper, Khuli Chana and Anatii.

He's popularly known for hits like Khuli Chana's Mnatebawen and Cashtime Fam's Goodbye.

After expanding his sonic palette through Jozi Entertainment, collaborating with Mthandazo Gatya and Russell Zuma on One Day and Touchline on Kuhamba Kahle, AB Crazy took a brief hiatus from releasing new music.

“I took a break because the music scene is forever changing, so I had to figure out how I would come back and still make a difference with my own sound.

“My return was inspired by my passion and love for music. It’s within me, it's a gift and a purpose I can’t ignore.”

While on his hiatus, AB Crazy, real name Tumelo Dibakwane, did some features but took time to focus on his personal life and “learn and relearn the ropes of the music industry”.

“I think talent maintained my relevance and also just being versatile, being open-minded and, most importantly, having a good team and a good manager.”

AB Crazy says he's got big plans for 2025 and his fans are in for a treat.

“There will be more music and features with other artists coming up as well. It’s going to be a great year.”
