Thabo “Tbose” Mokwele is excited and honoured to be the executive producer and host of a new show on Mzansi Magic called The Ones.
“I am the executive producer with the support of my wife and friend, Robin Kohl. We wanted to create a TV show people will enjoy, specially in the way we tell the stories,” Mokwele told TshisaLIVE.
The show focuses on African stories told by people born on the continent.
“It’s about ordinary people doing extraordinary things, such as Laduma Ngxokolo, Dr Mamokgethi Phakeng, Tshepo Jeans and Black Coffee,” he said.
The well-known TV and radio personality explained the show is called The Ones because the individuals featured are at the forefront of their journeys.
“They got to where they are because of one person, one reason, one song or one event. The show is biographical, like a masterclass taught by the masters themselves.”
The goal is to ask thoughtful questions that spark deep and engaging conversations.
“Expect laughter, thought-provoking moments and even tears. I also use music to help reveal more about my guests because music can truly show a person’s personality.”
