Black Brain Pictures gives students a chance in acting industry

Black Brain Pictures is giving young, upcoming actors an opportunity to be trained at its Media City Academy studios in Randburg.

On April 5, the academy will host an open day for students interested in the acting industry.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, executive producer Mandla N said South Africa has many hungry, energetic young people who just need a chance in the film and TV industry.

“So, we'll train them to have full-on access to the workplace as soon as they graduate. We'll have directors, we'll take them to acting sets. This weekend we are excited to welcome children and their parents for the open day; we welcome everyone and the school caters to everyone.

“If the students are interested in studying film, videography, photography, lighting, music, everything that deals with TV, we've got classes for all courses as we need to expand the industry and produce new faces on our TV screens.”

In other news, Black Brain Pictures is gearing up for e.tv's Isiphetho: Destiny season finale, Ashes and Vows, on Friday.
