Gospel singer Canaan Nyathi says people loved his Celestial Chorus gospel event.

Canaan is part of gospel group Spirit Of Praise and performs alongside Dumi Mkokstad and Ayanda Ntanzi and other artists. He has also shared a stage with Bishop Benjamin Dube.

Canaan recently launched Celestial Chorus at Carnival City, which was dubbed a game changer with a 100-piece orchestra and 46 voices, and a powerhouse mix of Zimbabwean and South African artists.

“People loved the excellent production with an amazing stage design — one of the best we have seen in the gospel industry. It has now attracted high demand even in other provinces and cities like Durban and Cape Town,” he said.

Canaan was recently accused of owing a Limpopo event organiser money after allegedly skipping one of the organiser's events, which he denied. “My bookings go through my booking agency normally, but in this case the guy called me on my phone and was desperate for me to perform at his event but kept changing dates for two years. That experience for me was a learning curve. I've never skipped a booking,” he said.
