Scotts Maphuma has issued another statement of apology to his fans.

The amapiano star has been criticised by his supporters for reacting negatively when they want to take pictures with him. His actions resulted in his live performances being met with a lukewarm reception after which he apologised to fans for his conduct during an Instagram live session.

After going live on Instagram on various occasions, Scotts said the X account that had initially issued a statement which went viral did not belong to him.

He said his apology on Instagram was sincere.

“Was live now and apologised like a man. I don’t need fake accounts to do it for me. The official statement is coming, thank you.”

An official statement was later shared on his timeline.

“To my fans and supporters, I want to sincerely apologise for my recent actions and words which disrespected and disappointed many of you. I lost perspective and take full responsibility.

“This has been a wake-up call. I now understand the importance of staying grounded and connected to those who make the journey possible. I'm committed to learning, growing and regaining your trust through my actions.

“Thank you for everyone who held me accountable. I hear you and I will do better.”
