National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwana shed light on how Musa Khawula's crimen injuria and hate speech cases were struck off the roll.

“The investigations are incomplete. The state requested a further remand which was denied by the court,” she told TshisaLIVE.

In October last year, Musa made allegedly false and defamatory claims about businessman Ze Nxumalo, stating “Dr Tamaryn Green-Nxumalo with child while her husband Ze Nxumalo is cheating on her”, which caused Nxumalo to send a letter demanding he retract the statement or face a charge of crimen injuria.

In July last year Musa was jailed for 90 days for contempt of court after he refused to comply with a defamation verdict obtained by ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula’s wife Nozuko which barred Musa from posting corruption allegations about her on X.

Taking to his X timeline on Thursday after the cases were struck off, an undaunted Musa said he maintained the allegations he made previously.

He insisted they were true and the judge “saw right through the bulls***".

“The nice Randburg judge who has now became our friend saw right through the bulls*** as he ruled to strike off the roll their rubbish and nonsensical case after wasting everybody's time. Also ke bazalwane, I said what I said, xo xo, gossip girl.”

Musa remains incarcerated for a separate case pertaining to attempted murder charges he will face in the Fochville regional court on May 22.
