Andile Mpisane is swapping the pitch for the stage, again. With Royal AM booted out of the Premier Soccer League, Shawn Mkhize’s son and former club chair is dusting off the mic and making a musical comeback.
A video of the former Royal AM captain which surfaced on social media went viral this week, showing him in the studio recording a song with Dankie Boy, a member of gqom group Worst Behavior.

In the video, Andile sings: “Story of my life is change ... since she came into my life, I never felt this way before”.
Andile isn't new to the music industry. In 2019, before his football career, he was known for his music, releasing singles like Makhwapheni and It's Too Much Sauce.
His song teaser shared on social media comes amid troubles at Royal AM. The club has been inactive since December as its owner, Andile's mother Shaun "MaMkhize" Mpisane, reportedly owes Sars R40m and has failed to secure a buyer for the club.
Business mogul MaMkhize also owes former striker Samir Nurković R11.1m and an undisclosed sum to ex-defender Ricardo Nascimento.
