ShowThemFlames Productions is to host the first edition of its Music Night event on May 30 at Hotel Sky in Sandton. The evening will feature a line-up of top Mzansi DJs and promises to be a celebration of South African talent.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, music executive Stanley Khoza expressed excitement about the event, calling it a prestigious celebration of African music, storytelling and creativity.
“Expect an unforgettable evening of live performances, meaningful industry conversations, black excellence in music and culture. It’s going to be an annual night of showcasing the best talents our country has. I’ve realised that in our country venues to showcase and enable talent development are slowly closing down and that had me concerned. As a practitioner, a leader and a talent manager, I felt it was my responsibility to focus on finding new ways we can enable our talents to showcase themselves in front of industry leaders, agents and labels,” he said.
Khoza also shared that the long-term goal is to make Music Night a monthly event, held in a central location that meets the demands of top-tier productions.
“The launch will be attended by music lovers, politicians, artist agents and record company executives. The vision is to grow it into an internal springboard for talent — those in my label and those outside. It’s a platform I want to see launch many new brands and propel them for superstardom.”
