Actress and musician Lasandra Majola, who hails from Durban, recently joined the cast of Uzalo as Ashley.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Lasandra said her character is a first year university student.
"Ashley is gorgeous, smart and tough. She’s Nkazimulo's classmate and girlfriend. She is well-grounded at face value but she is an adrenaline junkie who likes to play with danger and she's very impatient", she said.
The 22-year-old said viewers can expect an interesting love story between Ashley and Nkazimulo.
"I have not stopped doing music. I t took a break to focus on my education and acting career, but I will definitely be back in the music industry soon."
