Gogo Skhotheni has announced she has parted ways with Cavo Club in the Maboneng Precinct five months after partnering with two business associates to launch the establishment.
The DJ, who first shot to stardom as a popular sangoma, took to her timeline on Monday to make the announcement.
She said the experience of working with Cavo Club had sparked something powerful in her, giving her the courage to build something of her own.
“A very personal announcement: I’m no longer in partnership with Cavo. While that chapter has come to an end, it sparked something powerful in me, the courage to start from scratch and build something of my own.
“I’m proud and emotional to share that I’ll be opening my own spot in August in Frankfort, my hometown, the place where my parents were born and where my roots run deep. This is more than a business.
