Gagasi FM's DJ Mimi Kesaris is celebrating a milestone.
On Wednesday the youth station celebrated his journey after 25 years of dedication to his task.
“As the sound of KwaZulu-Natal, Gagasi FM is built on a foundation of innovation, resilience and a commitment to delivering excellence in every area of our work,” it said.
“Mimi Kesaris has exemplified the values with unwavering dedication, playing a critical role in shaping the station’s success story through his expertise, forward-thinking vision and deep understanding of our audiences.
“Over the past two-and-a-half decades, Mimi has been instrumental in driving technological innovation and building strong consumer insight frameworks that have enabled Gagasi FM to remain at the forefront of the media industry.
“As we celebrate his incredible 25-year journey, we extend our deepest gratitude to Mimi Kesaris. We wish him continued success and many more innovative, fulfilling years at Gagasi FM.”
Meanwhile, the station has distanced itself from claims that former Ukhozi FM host Selby Mkhize, aka Selbeyonce, has joined Gagasi FM
In an official statement, it said the rumours were without merit: “We wish to state unequivocally the claims are baseless and speculative. It is deeply concerning the publication failed to consider the potential reputational and commercial harm such unfounded allegations could cause to the individual named and our business.”
