Joburg’s nightlife spotlight turns to Cosmopolitan Night Club in Maboneng this Sunday evening for the COWBOII Birthday Celebration under the banner of Any Given Sunday.
Amapiano heavyweights Scotts Maphuma, Leemckrazy and chart-topping duo Mellow & Sleazy will take the stage, with Vulela as host, promising a night of non-stop groove, bold fashion and signature city energy.
COWBOII, real name Sibusiso Mokone, the man at the centre of the celebration, is a rising amapiano artist. Hailing from Daveyton, he first adoptedhis stage name after a childhood drama class nickname. Now 22, he has released several singles and collaborative tracks.
“This Sunday [tonight], the heartbeat of Johannesburg’s nightlife shifts to the Cosmopolitan Night Club in Maboneng,” said club manager Novel Wolde.
Scotts recently addressed fans after missing performances due to a family bereavement, speaking about the mental health pressures and public scrutiny that come with his career.
The event takes place at Cosmopolitan Night Club, well-known venue in Johannesburg. Popular among locals and visitors alike, the club has become a hotspot for amapiano nights and cultural events in the area.
