After a brief postponement, the highly anticipated grand opening of Ndlala Mall is set to dazzle Pretoria on August 23 — and it’s bringing international star power with it.

American R&B star Donell Jones will headline the launch event at the state of the art Ndlala Arena, a 550-seat venue in the new retail and lifestyle development in Arcadia.

The multi-platinum artist is best known for his 1999 classic album Where I Wanna Be and hit single U Know What’s Up, which topped charts and still pulls in more than 1.2-million monthly Spotify listeners.

Ndlala Mall CEO Thami Ndlala said securing Donell Jones is a major coup: “It is an honour to have an artist of such a great calibre in the music industry to be the main performer at the opening.”

Jones won’t be alone on stage. He’ll be joined by South African music heavyweights Zonke Dikana and Vusi Nova, renowned for their chart-topping ballads and contributions to the R&B and soul scenes.

Thami Ndlala — the billionaire and visionary behind Ndlala Mall and the Ndlalayesizwe Real Estate empire — has transformed Arcadia’s retail landscape with this project. The mall, adjacent to the Ndlala Oligarch Hotel & Apartments, merges shopping, lifestyle and entertainment into one luxury precinct.

With a star-studded line-up and a sleek new venue, August 23 is set to mark a new chapter in Pretoria’s entertainment and retail scene.
