Media personality Kamo Moth was simply a young girl bonding with her father over action movies. That early connection to storytelling, forged through their daily movie nights, sparked a deep love for performance — though her initial dream was to become an actress, not a presenter.

“I developed an interest around the age of five or six. Acting was the dream back then. My dad and I would watch movies together every day and that became our special thing. That’s also where my love for action films began,” she says.

But life had other plans. It wasn’t until university that her path took a turn towards presenting. After someone casually suggested she’d be great on radio, thanks to her entertaining personality, the seed was planted — and quickly began to grow.

Now a rising force in the industry, her journey has included memorable moments, major interviews and an ever-evolving perspective on success and leadership. Her time hosting the TV talk show Heavy Hitters proved to be more than just a career highlight — it was a deeply insightful experience that challenged and shaped her.

“Every episode was different, but my interview with Dineo Ranaka stands out. The energy was just right — and the team even managed to prank me on set. It was such a vibe,” she says.

But it wasn't all fun and games. Hosting the show revealed something much deeper: the reality that success isn’t one-size-fits-all. “I’ve learnt that everyone’s journey is different. You can’t let other people dictate your timeline. It’s all about divine timing — Ecclesiastes 3:11 says it best.”

And while many assume TV presenting is all glitz and glam, she’s quick to debunk that myth. “People think it's easy — that you just show up, look pretty and read lines. But there’s a whole art to it. From the initial concept, to the behind-the-scenes team, to how you deliver as a presenter — it all matters.”

Preparation is a non-negotiable part of her process. Every interview begins with research — not just on the person, but on their past work, energy and interview style. And before going live, she turns to music that boosts her confidence and puts her in the zone: “I listen to music that makes me feel like I’m That Girl.”

She believes what truly sets a presenter apart is their unique selling point — the one thing that makes them unforgettable. “It’s not about being a one-trick pony. Your magic lives in your uniqueness. That’s your power.”

Now, with years of experience under her belt, she’s stepping into the next chapter with confidence and clarity. She recently launched her own production company, Just A Girl Productions, giving her full creative control and the opportunity to tell stories that reflect her passions and values.

One of her upcoming projects is a hair series, which will debut on her YouTube channel. “It’s close to my heart. Hair is such a personal and powerful part of who we are and I can’t wait to explore that on screen.”

She’s also returned to radio, hosting The Midday Exchange on 919 FM — another platform where her voice, energy, and authenticity shine.

As for the future? She’s not setting limits. “Honestly, I just want to keep creating and working hard. Wherever God takes me, I’ll go. I believe in doing my best and letting God do the rest.”

Still grounded in the dreams of that movie-loving little girl, she’s carving a path that’s all her own — bold, brilliant and beautifully hers.
