Afrosoul songstress Brenda Mtambo has postponed her show in eMalahleni (formerly Witbank), citing low ticket sales as the reason.

The concert was scheduled for August 22, but in a statement released to her fans Brenda said she could not go ahead with the show unless she was able to deliver the full experience her supporters deserve.

“Family, it is with a heavy heart that I announce the postponement of my show in Witbank,” she said. “This decision was not made lightly. Unfortunately, ticket sales have not reached the level needed to deliver the full experience I had envisioned for you.”

She assured fans that tickets already purchased would remain valid for the new date, which will be announced soon. Refund options will also be made available for those who prefer them.

“I believe you deserve nothing less than my best and I want to ensure that when we meet it’s a night to remember. Thank you for your understanding, love and continued support. We will dance, sing and share in beautiful moments together soon.”

Brenda, known for her powerful vocals and emotive performances, has built a loyal fan base over the years and many have rallied around her on social media after the announcement.
