Amapiano fans are still reeling from the epic Scorpion Kings Live with Friends concert held at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane at the weekend, but it was Kabza De Small’s culinary skills that unexpectedly stole the show online this week.
The acclaimed amapiano hit maker, real name Kabelo Motha, sent social media into a frenzy when a video surfaced of him cooking oxtail, just days after he and DJ Maphorisa hosted what many have hailed as a “historic event” in the amapiano genre.

The clip shows Kabza confidently working over the stove, preparing a hearty dish of oxtail and fans couldn’t get enough.
“From cooking hits to cooking oxtail. Kabza is HIM,” one user wrote on X, while another joked, “Kabza can do everything. Even wife material!”
The video comes hot on the heels of the Scorpion Kings Live with Friends show, which brought together some of the biggest names in amapiano for a night to remember. Featuring a production scale rarely seen in the genre, the concert was described by attendees as a “game-changer” for local music events.
Kabza and Maphorisa, who make up the powerhouse duo Scorpion Kings, have long been at the forefront of amapiano’s global rise, and their ability to not only sell out a major stadium but also bring fans together across the country is testament to their impact.
The addition of Kabza’s cooking moment only solidified his reputation as a man of many talents.
“He just gave us the concert of the year and now he’s cooking like a private chef? Give Kabza his flowers!” wrote another fan.
