The memorial service and funeral arrangements for Caven “DJ Poizen” Masetla, who passed away in a car accident with three others, have been confirmed.
DJ Poizen, who was popular in the Gauteng and Limpopo entertainment scenes, will be honoured in services in the two provinces.
The first memorial service will be held in Gauteng on September 11 at Centurion Shisanyama from 4pm to 6pm. On September 12 a second memorial service will take place in his home province Limpopo at Napscom Hall from 2pm to 5pm.
His funeral service will be held on September 13 from 6am at Napscom Hall, followed by his burial at Ga-Malesa Cemetery.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Mphoza Mashabela from Local Artists Movement (LAM) said the organisation has stepped in to support the bereaved families affected by the crash.
“On behalf of LAM, we took a resolution to assist four families who lost loved ones in the accident. We are engaging the local mayor, the transport MEC and the Limpopo premier to assist the families with a mass funeral. We are in talks with Masetla’s family and are helping with funeral arrangements, including Samro funeral benefits,” said Mashabela.
DJ Poizen's death sent shockwaves through the local entertainment community, with tributes pouring in for the DJ known for his energy, passion for music and community involvement.
