Durban is set to come alive again, thanks to award-winning promoter Junior Lavie, who is putting the spotlight back on the city's nightlife.

On Friday night Junior will host DJ Tira’s highly anticipated birthday celebration at Yugo, Morningside, a venue known for its exclusive vibe and star-studded guest lists. The celebration is expected to attract some of the country’s top entertainers, influencers and fans of the Afrotainment boss.

And the party doesn’t stop there.

On September 7 Junior returns with another huge event, The Scorpion Kings Aftermath, featuring amapiano heavyweight DJ Maphorisa, also at Yugo. This comes hot on the heels of Maphorisa’s stadium show which drew thousands of fans and cemented his status as a leader in the amapiano movement.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Junior shared his excitement about reviving Durban’s social scene.

“We’re back and I’m willing to host all mega events in Durban. It’s been a while since the streets of Durban have been this quiet, but now we are celebrating black excellence and honouring Phori for his successful show at the stadium.

“I’m also hosting the beautiful ladies who love Tira and Phori, it’s going to be a vibe.”

With back-to-back star-studded events and an undeniable passion for entertainment, Junior is on a mission to bring energy and excitement back to the heart of Durban nightlife.
