Big Brother Mzansi season 5 winner Akhonamathemba “Sweet Guluva” Mbele and former contestant Ashley Ogle have parted ways.

The reality TV stars, who shot up trends lists during the competition for their on-screen romance, had continued their relationship after leaving the Big Brother house.

In the latest episode of Drink or Tell the Truth, Ashley revealed Sweet Guluva ended their relationship.

“Sweet Guluva broke up with me. I was forced to go along with it. I'm a fan of Sweet Guluva and I am in love with him but I don't particularly like AkhonamathembaI think Sweet Guluva was in love with me but [with] Akhonamathemba, it wasn't the same,” she said.

“It came as a surprise. Usually you can see something coming. For me it was a surprise. It's been a month and a bit. I had to force myself to find the reason he had done what he did. I don't recall the reason, I think it was pretty much invalid. He said he's working. To me it seemed as if Akhonamathemba never had plans for Ashley, it was just Sweet Guluva who had plans for Ashley.”

Previously, Sweet Guluva and Ashley went live on TikTok to let their fans know that they were a couple, even after leaving the Big Brother house.

“We wanted to confirm we are together. We are dating, but we are requesting privacy,” Sweet Guluva said

Ashley later said they wanted to keep their relationship private.

“We started our relationship on a social platform, and a lot of people have been very supportive. They loved it. I felt we were obligated to tell people we are going to be private,” she said during her sit-down interview on the Engineer Your Life podcast in April.

“Big Brother is over and we are individuals. He needs to focus on his brand and me on mine. Maybe later we can make it public again.”
