Young Stunna has reacted to Tebogo G Mashego's social media outburst after viral videos in which he expressed his woes about allegedly not receiving money for his involvement in the hit song Biri Marung.

In the social media posts, G Mashego spoke about being stranded in Nigeria and hurled insults at DJ Maphorisa. He insulted Young Stunna, suggesting his success was due to him allegedly having sexual relations with a popular producer.

Responding to his accusations, Young Stunna said G Mashego had to be accountable instead of disrespecting people.

“You all can't keep calling me gay. I can take that from fans and brush it off. From fans it's not heavy. Fans can say anything because they don't know what really going on.

“This guy has been in the industry for a few months and he didn't learn anything because he was bossing himself inside. He wasn't asking for information about what's going on in the music industry. The simple thing is behaving and respecting your elders. When you start disrespecting your elders in front of so many people what does it say about you and your upbringing.”

Young Stunna said the rising star needed to be guided about how the industry works.

“The industry is good. This guy doesn't have information and he surrounds himself with people who don't know where they are going to end up. You looked down on people who were trying to help you. You insulted too many people who were trying to help you. Don't say you tried. It hasn't even been two years. Let's look at the contract.”

Young Stunna said he sympathised with how G Mashego is confused about the music industry because he only got to enjoy the fruits of his labour for his 2021 hit song Bopha last year.

“Biri Marung dropped last November. You guys want him to collect millions. If you see the numbers you will faint. I love that guy. I'm not angry with him, whether he called us gay and said we're getting f***ed in the ass. That means we can't deal with our women in peace. Should we show people the type of women we dealing with? The type of money we make?

“We need to hold hands and guide those who are lost. Stop pointing fingers. Let's not disrespect one another because now you're involving us. I'm not one to get involved in a lot of things. I just like doing my job.”
