Anwar “Dogg” Khan, the long-time bodyguard and confidant of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, has shared an emotional tribute to the slain rapper on social media.
Dogg posted a video montage on Instagram featuring candid and behind-the-scenes moments from his years working closely with AKA. The video offers a rare glimpse into their personal bond, showing tender moments, laughter and shared experiences beyond the spotlight.
In a caption accompanying the video, Dogg wrote: “Till we meet again King. Your presence changed the world – your absence continues to change the world. It will never be the same. One love.”
The post has since gone viral, with fans flooding the comments section to express their condolences and support. Many praised the strength of their friendship and the visible loyalty Dogg had for the slain rapper.

Speaking exclusively to TshisaLIVE, Dogg reflected on the immense void left behind since AKA’s murder: “Not a single day goes by without thinking about Kiernan (AKA). Things are no longer the same I'm just left with memories.”
Dogg, a member of international celebrity protection specialists the Pentagon Shadow Group, was a permanent fixture in AKA’s life, not just as a security detail but as a trusted member of his inner circle. Their relationship, forged through years of working side by side, was rooted in deep trust and mutual respect.
The video tribute includes clips from public performances, private moments backstage and glimpses of AKA’s life behind the scenes, painting a vivid picture of the man behind the music.
Since AKA’s tragic death in 2023, many of his close friends and collaborators have spoken publicly about the profound impact he had on their lives.
