Three engineers from GM Korea's headquarters in Seoul visited General Motors South Africa (GMSA) this month to support the company's preparation for the assembly of the Chevrolet Spark at the Port Elizabeth plant later this year.

The Chevrolet Spark is currently built in Korea. In the above picture Kookjin Kim (left), Woochan Kim (middle) and Jongchul Song (right) came to check that everything was on track for local assembly.

The Koreans built the first prototype at PE's Struandale plant as part of a training programme for GMSA employees.

GMSA team leader on the Chevrolet Utility general assembly line, Ebrahim Venter (second from left), and Bonakele Lucas (second from right), a process planning engineer, participated in the prototype assembly.
