It's national Book Week and one of its ambassadors, author and entrepreneur, Angela Makholwa, talks to Jackie May.

WHAT are you reading?

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. I read it so long ago, I forgot what it was about.

In a nutshell

Okonkwo, the protagonist, is a self-made man in a violent world which is balanced by a sense of tradition, ritual, and social coherence.

Why read it?

I miss books that are more enchanting in their telling than in the plot, which tends to be the case with most modern books (mine included).
