We trust them to give us spiritual guidance and lead us, however just like all of us, preachers are human and sometimes they can take things way too far.

Pretoria Pastor convinces congregation to eat grass

We all know that humans and animals have some similarities but who would have thought that grazing was one of them?

Rabboni Centre Ministries became a trending topic on social media after it emerged that the church leader, Pastor Daniel Lesego had reportedly convinced his members to eat grass in order “to get closer to God”.

According to a report on the Christian Post, Lesego explained the ‘grass eating’ by telling the congregation that Jesus had more disciples than the 12 mentioned in the bible adding that they (disciples) had also done new things which were seen as unusual at the time.

Walk on water

Evangelist Franck Kabele, 35 met his untimely death earlier this year after trying to recreate Jesus’ miracle of walking on water.

According to africanseer.com, a determined Kabele told his congregation that he had had a revelation that he would be able to cross the waters just like Jesus did, all it would take is enough faith.

“He took his congregation to the beach saying he would walk across the Komo estuary, which takes 20 minutes by boat,” a witness reportedly told Glasgow Daily Record.

“He walked into the water, which soon passed over his head and he never came back.”

May he rest in peace.

Holy milk?

A Brazilian pastor was arrested last year after he somehow managed to convince his followers that ‘holy milk’ flowed from his penis.

According to thecontroversialfiles.net, Valdeci Sobreni Picano claimed that the Holy Spirit would secrete from his penis in the form of “sacred milk”.

"He has convinced us that only God could come into our lives through our mouth and that's why he would do what he did", one congregant was quoted saying.

We are sure a special place in hell has been reserved for Pastor Picano.

No weave in my church

A Texas Pastor raised some eyebrows when he announced that weaves would no longer be allowed at his church.

“Our black women are getting weaves trying to be something and someone they are not. Be real with yourself is all I’m saying,” Pastor A.J. Aamir told AmericaPreachers.com.

“I lead a church where our members are struggling financially. I mean really struggling. “Yet, a 26 year old mother in my church has a $300 weave on her head. NO. I will not be quiet about this,” he added.

Although the Pastor admitted that he couldn’t legally prohibit any member from wearing a weave, he hoped that his strong objections would be noted.

A big Rozay fan

This Pastor took the scripture about preaching to sinners very seriously. Youth Pastor Rodney Wills was fired from his position at Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina after it emerged that he had attended a Rick Ross (rap artist) concert.

“We cannot have our leader supporting people of this world who are tearing down the kingdom of God,” the church's deacon, Miles Langley said, according to AmericaPreachers.com.

“We know that many saints will have mixed opinions from our actions, but this is not how we do things here at Mt. Salem...We cannot have a pastor praising the world one minute then praising the Lord the next. Period."

Well at least now he can go to all the rap concerts he wants.

Too much candy for the eye

Warning to all future brides: make sure your wedding dress covers all the important bits.

Apostle Michael Canty of the Truth Ministries Holiness Church refused to marry a couple after the bride arrived in a dress that was a bit too revealing for his liking.

According to www.patheos.com, the pastor informed the bride she would have to cover up her breast area and find a way to add length to the dress if she wanted him to bless their union.

The bride then tried to explain to the church leader that she wouldn’t be able to find a more appropriate dress with so short of a notice but apparently Apostle Canty refused to understand and chose to lock walk back to his office instead.
