Long walk to freedom in Mandela's shoes

The company had bought the historic tan coloured, Ostrich leather shoes which Mandela wore in his long walk from Victor Verster prison on auction in 1995, and have them stored in a secure facility.

Brian Pollock, managing director of Jordan & Company said: “With more than 110 years in the footwear industry in South Africa, we are a very proud company. Having the world’s most famous pair of shoes is a treasure we hold very dear.”
