Bonang Matheba may be a woman of many talents but the thing we love most about Queen B* is her fashion sense. This stylista can give us all a tip or two on how to put our best foot forward. Here are some things we learnt from following her on Instagram

1. SEQUINS CAN WORK AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY

Bonang loves an embellished blouse and proves that this is one piece of clothing that can be worn from day-to-night. Just pair it with some cool jeans and a killer pair of heels and you’re set for an all day event.

2. HATS AREN'T JUST FOR BAD HAIR DAYS

Hats and head-wraps add a unique touch to any outfit. Don’t be scared to try one yourself.

3. ALWAYS TRAVEL IN STYLE

Don’t think that just because you're are on a long-haul flight comfort has to take precedence over style. You never know what may happen when you arrive at your destination and looking your best may come in handy. Bonang always travels in knockout outfits that tick both boxes.

4. ACCESSORIES CAN MAKE AN OUTFIT

Bonang really knows how to make an outfit pop with the perfect accessories. Just add some large earrings or a statement necklace. And don’t forget, those super-sized sunnies.

5. SPICE UP YOUR LOOK WITH LACE

Having donned everything from a lace fifties-style dress with a bodysuit peeping through (see number 6) to a body-hugging dress that show offs all her curves, Bonang proves that lace is one of the most versatile – and sexy – fabrics around.

6. KEEP THE FIFTIES GOING STRONG

A fifties silhouette is ultra feminine. A full skirt and tight bodice is a very flattering style and Bonang knows just how to make this look work.

7. DARE TO BARE YOUR LEGS

8. DON'T BE AFRAID OF COLOUR

Bonang isn't one to shy away from colour; she rocks shades like red, yellow, coral and hot pink with aplomb.

9. LOCAL IS LEKKER

Take your cue from Bonang and champion local designers; there are a lot of talented creatives producing world-class clothing on our shores. Here she's pictured wearing a lilac cocktail dress by Gert-Johan Coetzee.

10. JUST HAVE FUN

The best style tip you can get from Queen B* is to just have fun; she looks like she's having a great time every minute of the day. Get up in the morning and get dressed in what makes you happy. After all a smile is the best accessory.
