Just days after socialite Khanyi Mbau got a restraining order against her married ex-lover, she too was slapped with a court order to leave him alone.

Theunis Crous, 52, obtained an interim order against the controversial Mbau at the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Friday afternoon.

It bars the 24-year old from harassing, insulting, stalking, threatening or assaulting the wealthy Johannesburg businessman - or coming within 50m of him and or his family members.

The pair, who first hooked up last year, have been engaging in public mudslinging since their breakup seven months ago.

Crous, in a statement submitted in court, said Mbau's behaviour was affecting his relationship with his wife, Primrose, his public image and his work.

He said the matter was urgent because Mbau was trying everything to keep him from reconciling with his wife and she had sent provocative text messages too.

He accused Mbau of having attacked him in public, at his workplace, as well as at his home at the exclusive Michaelangelo Towers in Sandton.

Mbau had on Monday obtained a restraining order against Crous in terms of which he was ordered not to " assault, threaten, intimidate, harass and not to verbally or emotionally abuse" her.

She claimed in court papers that Crous had been threatening her in text messages.
