4 ways to ace the interview to get the job

You have cleared the first hurdle in your search for a job and been asked for an interview - but this is no time to start coasting. You need to show your prospective employers that you are exactly what they are looking for.Heidi Duvenage, the head of recruitment agency Sage Talent Solutions, says employers are looking for "well-rounded, adaptable, committed [employees who are] ... a good fit for their organisational culture".story_article_left1She has the following advice:• Have the right attitude. If you show that you have integrity, commitment and curiosity, you are likely to catch their eye. "[Employers would] rather develop someone with the right outlook who needs some training than hire someone with great skills and low motivation," she says;• Working is about having skills and experience, but as important, if not more so, is your ability to get on with others, whether colleagues or clients. "Someone with good interpersonal skills is more likely to thrive than a superstar who lacks the tact and professionalism needed to play well with others," she says;• In your interview, find ways to demonstrate that you have wide interests and exposure to different cultures through travelling, for example;• Cultural fit is important to organisations.
