Where did you spend your last holiday?

Israel.

What was the best thing you did while there?

Explored the wonderful artists' town of Zefat in the north of the country - cobblestone streets, beautiful views and wonderful art.

Your favourite city abroad and why?

Paris. It's a city filled with art, culture, romance and, of course, shopping. What more could a girl want?

What was your best holiday, ever?

Sailing round the Great Barrier Reef on a Catamaran visiting islands only accessible by boat.

Which is the worst hotel you have stayed in?

Having had the worst flight of my life (Corfu to Athens on Olympic Airlines) we arrived at our pension in Athens to be greeted by the "bug community". Too scared to take shoes off, I slept on top of the bedding on a sarong, fully clothed.

What is the best thing you've been given on holiday ... or pinched from a hotel?

A silk robe from the Peninsular Hotel in Hong Kong.

Who would be your fantasy holiday companion and why?

Mother Teresa. Imagine spending time with someone who finds good in everything.

Your favourite SA destination and why?

Cape Town. How can you ever run out of things to do?

Your favourite restaurant, anywhere?

Wagamama in London.

What is the most exotic dish you have ever eaten on holiday?

Porcupine. I thought it was lamb until after the meal. Interesting and, I must admit, tasty.

One place you want to see before you die?

India and specifically the Taj Mahal. The spiritual aspect and colours of the country have always fascinated me.

Have you had any embarrassing moments as a traveller?

Arriving in Egypt on a public holiday with no cash and having to ask people for money to catch a bus.

What do you avoid on holiday?

Huge tourist traps. I look for the quieter parts - more authentic and cheaper.

What's your best piece of travel advice?

Everything is an experience - enjoy!
