Entertainer Oscar Mgudlwa adds comic relief on e.tv's Isitha.

Oscar, popularly known as Madluphuthu, has landed himself an acting role in the series. He said he started as a script developer for Isitha which compelled the writers and the producers to feel he could do a great job to bring the role of Jupiter to life.

Social media was abuzz this week when Oscar appeared on Isitha. A user said: “It's good to see Madluphuthu without his 3D glasses.”

“No wonder the show is part of the leading pack on TV,” said another.

“Madluphuthu will definitely bring more ratings,” a third predicted.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, he said: “Jupiter's role was a supporting role on the black door on Isitha. It's a cameo role, as I have other commitments at Black Brain as a creative. The difference between me, Oscar, and Jupiter is not much; they are from ekasi, they are hustlers, but Oscar is more an introvert, a bit shy, and Jupiter is someone who acts like Mr Know-it-all and likes to be the main man, and he's a bit naive.”

Oscar said projects he is involved in will be on screen soon.

“I'm shooting films for e.tv and Netflix. I've been blessed working with the most talented legends of the film industry.”

Beside acting, Oscar is helping young talent in the music industry as a songwriter or feature as Mavo or Madluphuthu.
