Bongani “Mörda” Mohosana is to launch his second album and it's dedicated to his daughter, again.

The DJ and producer took to his social media timeline announcing he would release Asante 2 on his daughter's birthday on September 8 after his debut album in October 2022.

“This is the moment. I felt it when we created Burning Bush. I felt like the world needed to hear it and when we were done, I was not. This is another major moment I will talk about closer to my daughter’s birthday,” he told TshisaLIVE.

In May 2022, Mörda announced he was taking a break from Black Motion to focus on his personal venture after nearly 13 years in the entertainment industry.

Speaking of his solo career, Mörda admitted he “felt different emotions every day since making the decision”, but persevered.

“Confidence, everyone around me was celebrating me going solo, but for some reason I had to discover the confidence to do so. You have to be confident in your product if you want to sell it to people, the people can’t be lied to.”

He took time out to find his own sound as an individual artist, doing research and visiting renowned artists' studios.

Though he was nervous about going solo, Mörda wants his followers to get to know him better through his music. Having topped radio charts with his album, he is now more confident.
