I love reading Travel Weekly, which opens windows on amazing journeys and destinations, accompanied by breathtaking pictures.

Wait for me, girls!

I have always been afraid of heights but after seeing Marianne Schwankhart's photographs of Kilimanjaro "I'm sitting on top of Kilimanjaro", October 2), I have decided to stop looking before I leap and head for Africa's highest peak.

Travelling from Heathrow

In response to your correspondent looking for the best way to get from Heathrow to central London (Peter's Post, October 2), she should also investigate the Heathrow Express, which runs every 15 minutes from the airport to Paddington station. The journey takes 15 minutes and the fare is £18 one way - plus a cab from Paddington to Bloomsbury. The Piccadilly line is still the cheapest way to get from the airport to Bloomsbury, though. There are lifts down to the Heathrow tube station and there are also lifts at Russell Square, the Underground station for Bloomsbury. - Robert du Plessis, by e-mail
