I have always heard some dumb and outlandish utterances come out of Luthuli House only to be defended by blaming the linguistic context.

I can see this clearly now with what article is doing to Minister Nomvula Mokonyane. The heading used is not a contextual translation of what the minister was saying.

Transliteration and its shoddiest on your newspaper’s part. In all of the Sotho languages – Sepedi, Sesotho and Setswana - the English heading is misleading bordering on mischief.

In this specific instance the Honourable Minister's utterances have been taken out of context. Not funny, not in the name of nation building and not qualitative journalism in any measure.
