Medical aids are enough to make you sick:iLIVE

I love the way medical aids make it appear as if their members are generally to blame for above inflation annual increases.

Medical aid managers don't seem to realise that people consult with practitioners in the medical field for their expert advice and rely on proficiency and honesty.

Dishonest practitioners, however, knowing they will be paid their allotted tariffs, or more, regardless of the consequences, are happy to prescribe unnecessary 'remedies' that push up costs and cause drug resistant diseases and needless complications. 

The medical aid system is itself to blame for above inflation increases in that it encourages fraud and exploitation. 

These push up expenditure and fees. It is time the criminal justice system sorted out the problems in the medical field instead of leaving them to self-regulatory bodies that look out first and foremost for themselves.
