Data may be cheaper but it still ‘expires’. Why?

Vodacom’s announcement that it is to drop monthly data prices has revived calls for an end to the much-maligned practice of data expiry.

But, the company points out that data is not like potatoes, it’s about ‘pipes’, and keeping costs low for poor users.
