The Minister of Home Affairs, Ms Naledi Pandor will act as President of the Republic from this evening, 25 November to the 27th when President Jacob Zuma returns from a state visit to Ghana.

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe is currently on an official visit to Canada.

President Zuma will be in Ghana from 25-27 November 2013.

The visit is expected to strengthen the already existing warm and cordial relations between South Africa and Ghana which date back to the liberation struggle period.

President Zuma will hold official talks with President John Dramani Mahama in which they will discuss, among other things, political, economic and security cooperation.

President Zuma is accompanied by the Ministers of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane; Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davis; Transport, Ms Dipuo Peters; Energy, Mr Ben Martins; Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ms Tina Joemat-Peterson; Arts and Culture, Mr Paul Mashatile; Science and Technology, Mr Derek Hanekom and Police, Mr Nathi Mthethwa.
