Dumbing down is the dumbest move

If there is one thing our last 20 years will be remembered for it will be tampering with procedures and rules that are in place for a reason. All this is supposedly in the interests of transformation.

The announcement that LLB degrees will revert to five years is but one example.

The new credit amnesty will disadvantage prospective tenants rather than make it easier.

Technical trades have shrunk from a five-year apprenticeship, leaving us with underqualified and inexperienced artisans. The matric pass mark has been lowered, and the list goes on.
