What do you offer that's new?
We're a boutique wine store where you'll find dedicated, knowledgeable, passionate wine lovers to help you make your perfect choice. We sell a large range of wines, from well-known brands to small productions of lesser-known producers. Also craft beer, spirits, gifts, olive oils and accessories.
Best and worst thing about the wine business?
Best: It's a social industry so people have fun around wine and food. Worst: Margins are tiny - there's only a small slice for each person in the chain.
What advice do you have for wine newbies?
Try everything. We offer daily tastings in our shop.
What can I buy for R50 or R100 or R200?
You won't get a heavy/serious wine at R50, but you will get quality even at that price. You won't spend R50 and not know what it's for. The R80-R100 range is what we call the sweet spot for wine - you can get great stuff at a great price. We have a variety of wines at that price. You won't put down R200 on everyday drinking wine. At that price it will be a more specialised one. For special wines and vintages you can go up as far as R800.
What do you offer that's new?
We strive to do what we do well. Every wine we sell has been chosen for a specific reason. We'll go the extra very long mile to find the perfect wine should we not have it on our shelves.
